Deutsch: Das Steinheil'sche Pyroskop ist im Münchner Stadtmuseum ausgestellt. Es ist eine Art Fernrohr und wurde verwendet, um vom Kirchturm des Alten Peter aus Brandherde in der Stadt zu entdecken und exakt zu lokalisieren.
English: Steinheil's pyroscope is on display in the Munich City Museum. It is a kind of telescope and was used to detect and precisely locate sources of fire in the city from the church tower of Alter Peter.
