Summary
[edit]DescriptionDark Horse 2023 Davin Arries b 1999 OIl on canvas.jpg |
English: Dark Horse 2023 Davin Arries b 1999 Oil on canvas depicts the events of Revelation chapter 6 verse 5 with startling truth and accuracy. The subject of image taking up the most space and that being the black horse referenced in Revelation chapter 6 verse 5. "When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a black horse! And its rider had a pair of scales in his hand. " Atop the black horse is also the rider holding a pair of scales as stated in the scripture. The painting is a direct continuation from the previous scriptures as the seven lamps of God, The father and the lamb are still present, opening the seals. and results thereof happening before them. The background, like many of Davin Arries previous scriptural works holds a capturing display of clouds , becoming stormy wrought with thunder as it moves closer to God. The trinity of the Holy Bible is clearly depicted, as the Father is seated on the throne, engulfed in the Holy Spirit , and the Son at His right hand. As is frequent with South African artist Davin Arries, there is a signature present in the bottom left corner of the piece.
