Description
English: The VISSR instrument onboard the NOAA GOES-6 satellite captured this visible image of Hurricane Danny on August 15, 1985, at 12:30 UTC (8:30 AM EDT). At the time this image was captured, Danny was a Category 1 hurricane with maximum sustained wind speeds of 90 mph (150 km/h), and its minimum central pressure was 986 mb.
