Houmoeller, center, attached to the Guard Hussars, stopped by the National Training Center to learn from the soldiers of 2nd Platoon, K Troop, 2nd Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment at Fort Irwin, Calif., Nov. 4, 2011. Houmoeller, a drill sergeant in the Danish army, wanted to learn the techniques used by the U.S. Army in order to better train his soldiers.
