He died in Somerville, 25 July1919. He married in Peterboro, N. H., 6 Jan. 1874, Martha ChandlerNutting, born in Jaffrey, N. H., 13 Aug. 1850, daughter ofCharles and Nancy (Towne) Nutting. She survives him. Children born in Somerville, Mass.: 834. i. Ray Elmer9, b. 19 Oct. 1883. ii. Guy Almont, b. 27 Oct. 1889; has been for some years in theemploy of the Boston and Maine Railroad. Served during theWorld War in the United States Navy. Resides (1920) inSomerville, unmarried. 635. MARK DANE8 SHEDD (818. Nathan Cummings\Reuben6, Reuben5, Daniel*, Daniel3, Daniel2, Daniel1), was bornin Sharon, N. H., 2 Oct. 1868, but his youth was spent in EastJaffrey. He has been for many years in the hardware business,at first as a clerk, and later in business for himself in Winchendon,Mass., where he still (1916) resides.

Myron Cummings9, b. in Winchendon, Mass., 15 Oct. 1895. 636. FRANK EDSON8 SHEDD (319. John Brooks7, Reu-ben*, Reuben5, Daniel*, Daniel3, Daniel2, Daniel1), was born inSharon, N. H., 18 July 1856. His boyhood was spent on a farmin his native town, but he later resided in Jaffrey, N. H., whitherhis parents removed in 1872, pursuing studies that were prepara-tory for a higher education, and in 1876 entered Dartmouth Col-lege. After a full course of engineering study in the ChandlerScientific Department, he graduated with honors in the summer of1880, receiving a degree of B.S. During and after his college coursesome time was employed in teaching schools to provide the neces-sary funds to continue his studies, but he gave this up to engagemore directly in practical engineering work.
