Vera Vannette9, b. in Stillwater, Mich., 26 Mar. 1888; m.in Des Moines, Iowa, 18 Jan. 1919, Fernly Ralph Barnum,b. in Lake Preston, So. Dak., 24 Feb. 1889, son of Fitch Rayand Jessie (Botzer) Barnum. He is a traveling salesman andthey reside (1920) in Minneapolis, Minn. 758. HORACE EVERETT8 SHEDD (528. Henry Evarts7,Rev. Charles6, Capt. Abel5, Abel*, Jonathan3, Samuel2, Daniel1),was born in Zumbrota, Minn., 6 Sept. 1864, and has resided inSt. Paul, Minn., Elgin, 111., Niagara Falls, N. Y., Cedar Rapids,Iowa, Niagara Falls, Canada, Oakland, Cal., and Pulaski, Va.,and now (1920) lives in Bluefield, W. Va., where he is superinten-dent of the Appalachian Power Company.

Clyde Everett9, M.D., b. in Elgin, 111., 4 Apr. 1893;he graduated from the Oakland (Cal.) College of Medicineand Surgery in May 1917, one month after Americas entryinto the World War; he immediately volunteered as a surgeonin the Regular Army and was assigned to a training course inthe Army Medical College in Washington, D. C. Graduatingin February 1918, he was assigned at his request to active serv-ice, sent to Camp Gordon, Atlanta, Ga., with the Three Hun-dred and Twenty-Seventh Infantry of the Eighty-Second Divi-sion and sailed for France in April 1918. He went through theSt. Mihiel drive and was in the Argonne drive from the begin-ning until he met his death in Fleville, where he was instantlykilled by a piece of shell 16 Oct. 1918 and buried in the militarycemetery there.
