[edit]
Description
English: Daniel began to weaken on the morning of June 25. At 11 a.m. (1500 UTC) on that day, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) reported the center of Tropical Storm Daniel was located near latitude 19.0 North, longitude 117.8 West. Daniel was moving toward the northwest near 9 mph (15 km/h). A turn toward the west-northwest was expected by the evening, followed by a westward motion by June 27. Maximum sustained winds had decreased to near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts Additional weakening was forecast and Daniel was expected to weaken to a depression later that day. The cyclone is then forecast to degenerate to a remnant low pressure area by June 27. The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on board NASA’s Terra satellite acquired a true-color image of the nascent Tropical Storm Daniel on June 24.
