  • Dansk: Den 'manglende' medaillon i kartouchen er ikke enestående i Seghers oeuvre, men findes også blandt andet i værker i Musee des Beaux-Arts, Gent og Prado, Madrid (inv. 1912). (Se: Koester, 2000, p. 224). Hvis et maleri, som det formodes, skulle indføres i kartouchen synes det forventligt - på basis af guirlandens kvantum af piggede vækster og ikke mindst på basis af tilsvarende malerier, at motivet har tilhørt Kristi Lidelseshistorie. (Se: Koester 2000, p. 224-25).
