English: Danes Camp This was an important Iron Age hill fort, now incorporated into Hunsbury Hill Country Park. It was occupied around 2,000 to 2,500 years ago and may have been the stronghold of a celtic chieftain. This is part of the interior of the site, which is surrounded by a deep circular ditch. |
