Dandridge, Tennessee, in the southeastern United States. This view of the historic district is from atop the earthen dam that protects that town from Douglas Lake overflows. The historic district includes the courthouse, built in 1845, the Gass General Store building (now Smoky's Steak & BBQ), built in 1826, the town hall, visitor's center, and a cemetery containing the burials of several Revolutionary War veterans.
