Took that from the window of the moving train.

The Ravi is a river crossing northwestern India and eastern Pakistan.

Facts

1. It is one of six rivers of the Indus System in Punjab region

2. Punjab means (Punj - Five, Aab - River) Fiver Rivers.

3. The waters of Ravi are allocated to India under Indus Water Treaty 1960.

4. Rive origin, Source; Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, India.

5. According to ancient history, the Ravi River was known as Iravati & also known as Parushani to Indians in Vedic times and as Hydraotes to the Ancient Greeks.

6. Part of the battle of the ten kings was fought on a River, which according to Yaska (Nirukta 9.26) refers to the Iravati River (Ravi River) in the Punjab.

7. The river is 720 kilometres (450 mi) in length.
