Description
English: This is a fresco of a ceremony in the temple of the Palmyrene gods. It was discovered at Doura Europos (but not in the synagogue), dates to the first century AD, and shows two priests in conical hats and long white tunics, behind whom stands the commander of the sacrifice, Conon and his daughter, richly adorned in jewels (quoted from Bradt guide).
