Damascus Al- Salihiyah - Madrasa Rukniye

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Madrasa Rukniye, built for the Amir Rukn al-Din Mankuris, a governor of Egypt under his half-brother the Ayyubid Sultan al-Adil (one of Saladin’s sons). It has been given a new minaret, the madrasa includes a mosque, which was just having a service when I passed (I did not enter, but instead took pictures of the fine Kufic calligraphy outside).
