English: Dalton and Gayles Village Hall A popular venue for mountaineering slide lectures, the village hall in Dalton also has the advantage of more parking than anywhere else in Dalton, so formed a convenient meeting place for the Ski Section of Swaledale Outdoor Club. The section has been almost moribund over the last several years, but the return to real winter weather has brought a sudden increase in interest, so this was an introductory meet for mostly new nordic skiers. Not quite enough boots and skis to go round meant a lot of faff... |
