Description
English: The top of blast furnace Dalkarlshyttan 1925 in Lindesberg, Sweden. At the top of a blast furnace charcoal, iron ore and limestone are entered into the blast furnace pipe. The iron ore is reduced and pours out at the bottom. After it has cooled down it is pig iron, which is the end product of the blast furnace.
Svenska: Hyttkrans (äldre benämning: uppsättningsmål) vid toppen av masugnen i Dalkarlshyttan, Lindesberg. Bilden är tagen 1925. Här arbetar uppsättaren med att mata masugnen med kol, järnmalm och kalk. Järnmalmen reduceras, tappas från masugnen och blir till tackjärn efter avsvalning.
