Description
English: A gold Medieval finger-ring, with a circular bezel set with a purple stone. The wire hoop is undecorated and has a circular cross-section. There is a small crack in the hoop but it has not broken and is complete. A very similar example was found and reported in 2004- 2004-T377.

Probably 13th century

Weighing 0.8g . Diameter of hoop 19mm.

The age and precious metal content of this item therefore qualify it as treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
