Title
DUR-4F8375 small red bead
Description
English: A small, red glass bead probably dating to the post medieval or early modern period.

The bead is circular in plan and flat with two circular holes running parallel across the diameter of the bead. There is cast decoration on both sides of the bead in the form of four V shapes arranged in a circle with the gaps in between forming a cross shape. There is a small circular depression in between each of the Vs. The bead is red in colour.

The cross decoration could suggest religious connotations and the bead may have been used as part of a rosary.
