Summary

[edit]
Description So, we drove 5 minutes from our house in Trona to the entrance off of 178 for the Trona Pinnacles, and parked near the entrance. We got the telescope out and waited for sunset to pass and the Saturn/Jupiter conjunction to appear. It did, and I could make out Saturn with what looked like one big ring--they all blended together, and I could see Jupiter and three of his moons. Very cool. While waiting for the sun to set, I took a few photos of the waxing crescent moon.
