English: After doing my hike to the Sheet Rock (Harbour) Lighthouse and getting back to the car the fisherman who owned the land were I was parked pointed this out to me. Not the best shot, so far away.
The Beaver Island Lighthouse is on the far left. It is maintained by the Canadian Coast Guard but it is de-staffed. It shows a flashing white light and there is a fog horn. The light is now a white circular fibreglass tower. Location: 10 km off Port Dufferin, eastern end of island Standing: This light is still standing. Operating: This light is operational Began and Lit: 1986 Structure Type: Circular fibreglass tower, white, with lantern Light Characteristic: Flashing White (1992) Tower Height: 11.6 meters (38ft) high. Light Height: 19.8 meters (65ft) above water level.
