PLEASE, NO invitations or self promotions, THEY WILL BE DELETED. My photos are FREE to use, just give me credit and it would be nice if you let me know, thanks. Each summer, there was a continual coming and going of guests at Kingswood. Friends and relatives slept wherever there was space in the cottage or in a tent. King often gave up his own bedroom for his quests. With King’s rising political career and new social and professional expectations came more quests and, soon, the idea of having a cottage they could stay in. The purchase of neighbouring land and a cottage in 1922 presented a perfect opportunity to be able to provide his guests with less rustic lodging. The cottage was renovated in the same style as the main cottage. Its long veranda provided an unobstructed view of the lake. |
