Summary
[edit]DescriptionDPT PM2021 SCSI controller for PC.jpg |
English: This DPT 2021 SCSI controller (from Distributed Processing Technologies) was the drive controller in my eCesys 486 66 workstation (put together in March '94) designed to run NEXTSTEP for Intel. It's a full length, 16-bit ISA board. It worked(s) great.
The board supports is based on an MC68EC000 CPU @ 10MHz and supports Fast/Wide SCSI (SCSI-2) and has a microDB-50 external connector, as well as the male ribbon connector for internal devices. In my config it drove a Quantum ProDrive 700S (which is currently living in my Amiga 2000), an external SCSI Zip drive, and an external Toshiba 2x caddy-based CD-ROM drive. See a pic of the workstation in which it lived. (It looks like DPT got purchased by Adaptec in '99-'00 and is now long gone as a company.) |
