Summary

[edit]
Description
English: United States DOT placard for Class 3 combustible liquids. This is an alternate placard for combustible liquids, with the phrase Combustible replaced with the material's UN number, placed in the blank rectangle in the center of the placard.

Note: This image varies from the example in the Emergency Response Guidebook, used as its source. This is due to a discrepancy in the ERG and official guidance from the governing body for United States placards, the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, shown in Interpretation Response #10-0182. Note that example "B" on page 4 is identified as correct. Compare with the ERG, which resembles "C", identified as incorrect. The version highlighted in the letter as correct was used here as the Interpretation Response has more weight than the ERG in determining what is 'correct'.
