Description 330-CFD-DN-ST-94-02598: Operation Sharp Guard, June 15-June 1996. The commanding officer of the guided missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG-60) Captain Thomas R. Fedyzyn and his bridge crew keep an eye on the Bulgarian cargo ship Serdetz Bourgas as the distance between the two ships narrows. The Normandy is in the Adriatic in support of Operation Sharp Guard which is to insure compliance with United Nations sanctions, September 3, 1993 PH1 David W. Hanselman. (OPA-NARA II-8/14/2015).
