Description A Royal Navy BAe Sea Harrier FRS1 (s/n ZA190) from No. 800 Naval Air Squadron on HMS Illustrious (R06) taking off from the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) on 22 October 1984.
This Sea Harrier was delivered in 1981. Lt. Steve Thomas destroyed two Argentine IAI Daggers (C-404 and C-403 of Grupo 6) with two AIM-9L Sidewinder missiles flying ZA190 on 21 May 1982. It crashed after a bird strike on 15 October 1987, the pilot ejecting safely.
