Dette er Norges første medalje laget for Det Kongelige Norske Videnskabers Selskap i Trondheim i 1776. Medaljen ble brukt som en fortjenestemedalje til bønder som hadde utmerket seg innen landbruket. Arbeid som innebar riktig gjødsling og bygging av steinfjøs vart særlig lagt vekt på. Medaljen som er laget av rent sølv, måler 46 mm i diameter og veier 45 gram. På baksiden er det en innskrift i en eikekrans: "MINDE FOR VINDSKIBELIGHED GIVEN AF KONGENS BRODER D. 29 JAN." Årstallet 1776 er også inkludert.
This is Norway’s first medallion made to the Royal Norwegian Society of Science and Letters in 1776.The medallion was used as a decoration awarded by the king for meritorious service within agriculture. Work than included correct fertilizing and building farmhouses out of stone were particularly appreciated. The medallions is made from pure silver, measures 46 mm diameters and weighs 45 grams.
