Description
English: DIY 75W power amp board with diamond follower core - daughterboard for housekeeping functions. On the right are 24VDC regulator for an outboard bag-graph meter using LM3915, and a limiter (anti-clipper) that prevents the output stage from hard clipping. Spare space for a precision rectifier to drive the LM3915 bargraph driver. The four LEDs (2 parallel / 2 series combo) provide voltage drop for the limiter, and enable safe voltage for a 40V-rated regulator (rail voltage here may reach 41-43V). Yes, the green LEDs are actually ON, around 1mA through each. Yes, you can safely parallel LEDs provided they come from the same production batch. They are surprisingly close, I never found more than 20% current mismatch, usually it's under 10%.
