Description

Bill Bradley

On Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020, former U.S. Senator Bill Bradley (D-New Jersey) presented his one-man performance, Moving Forward, to Friends of the LBJ Library. Moving Forward is Bradley's American journey—from a small Missouri town on the Mississippi River to Princeton University and on to Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar, followed by 10 years playing professional basketball for the New York Knicks (1967-1977), 18 years serving in the U.S. Senate (1979-1997) and, in 2000, running for president of the United States. This autobiographical piece covers Bradley's three passions: basketball, politics, and self-discovery.

Bradley now hosts an award-winning Sirius Satellite Radio program, American Voices, and is managing director of Allen & Company LLC, a private investment firm. He won an Olympic gold medal in 1964 and helped the Knicks win two NBA championships (1970, 1973).
