Some of Motown's biggest stars recall the beginnings of Motown 60 years ago as part of The Summit on Race in America at the LBJ Presidential Library on Wednesday, April 10, 2019. Duke Fakir, founding member of The Four Tops; Claudette Robinson, member of The Miracles; and Mary Wilson, founding member of The Supremes, discuss how Motown forever changed American music, business, and perceptions of African-Americans. Moderating the panel is Bob Santelli, founding executive director of the GRAMMY Museum. The musicians appear in conjunction with the LBJ Library’s new exhibit, Motown: The Sound of Young America, open April 13, 2019 through January 26, 2020.
