Description
Caption: Delaware Breakwater Range Rear Light Station, Delaware. Dwelling for Keeper, looking North, dist. About 50 ft. This is a one story concrete dwelling; with foundation walls 12 inches thick, upper walls 4 inches thick, both of reinforced concrete. It has a concrete basement floor and a tin roof. It is heated by a combination hot air and steam heating system. It has no lighting system. The bath room is supplied with water from an iron tank in attic. Drinking water from same source. Tank supplied with water from roof. Interior walls covered with "Beaver" boards and Mission finishing mouldings. Erected under allotment dated July 31, 1908. It was completed in Feb. 1910, cost $6,194.36. Date: 10/20/1916 District: 4
