Deutsch: Der von Rot und Silber gespaltene Schild mit Schlüssel und Palmzweig entspricht dem Wappen des Reichsabtei St. Emmeram in Regensburg, die vom 10. Jahrhundert bis zu Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts allein die Grund- und Niedergerichtsherrschaft in Vogtareuth innehatte. Seit dem 14. Jahrhundert hatte Vogtareuth den Status einer Hofmark; 1786 erlangte St. Emmeram sogar die Reichsunmittelbarkeit für Vogtareuth. Von 1803 bis 1810 gehörte der Ort zum Fürstentum Regensburg. Der Wellenbalken versinnbildlicht die Lage der Gemeinde am Inn und unterscheidet das Wappen von anderen Kommunalwappen mit den Symbolen von St. Emmeram. Die Farben Weiß und Blau verweisen auf die Hochgerichtsbarkeit und Landesherrschaft der bayerischen Herzöge aus dem Haus Wittelsbach. |
