Deutsch: Uess gehörte bis zum Ende der Feudalzeit im Kurfürstentum Köln zum Amt Nürburg. Als Hinweis darauf steht im Schildhaupt ein Zinnenschnitt.

(Fabricius S. 72) Der Wellenschnitt zwischen Schildhaupt und unterem Schildteil soll den Uess-Bach symbolisieren.

In Uess ist ein tausendjähriger, mächtiger, romantischer Kirchturm erhalben, den die Gemeinde in ihr Wappen aufnehmen will. In Erinnerung an die ehemals kurkölnische Zugehörigkeit steht der Turm in den Farben Silber und Schwarz.
