Blazon InfoField | Deutsch: „Gespalten von Gold (Gelb) und Blau; vorne ein schwarzer Kelch mit Deckel, hinten eine silberne (weiße) Lilie.“ Das von Karl Haas entworfene Wappen wurde am 13. März 1968 vom bayrischen Innenministerium genehmigt. Der Kelch wurde dem Wappen des Nicolaus Zech entnommen, die Lilie dem Wappen der Herren von Merklin. Beide waren frühere Patronatsherren in Scheuerfeld. Die Farben Schwarz und Gold stehen für die frühere wettinische Landesherrschaft. English: „Per pale Or a capped chalice sable and azure a fleur-de-lis Argent.“ The arms are derived from the arms of Nicolaus Zech (chalice) and the arms of the Lords of Merklin (fleur-de-lis), former rulers of the village, combined with the colours of the the sovereigns, the House of Wettin. |
