Object history |
Deutsch: Der Wellenbalken weist auf die Ortslage im Rheintal hin. Der Drache ist das Wappenbild der Herren von Breitbach. Die drei silbernen Schildchen in Rot sollen an die Dichter und Schriftsteller, die hier gewohnt und gewirkt haben, erinnern: Brüder Grimm, Freiligrath, Simrock. Schlägel und Eisen symbolisieren die alten Kupfererzgruben, die in der Gemarkung von Rheinbreitbach betrieben wurden. Rechtsgültig ist das Wappen seit dem 25. Mai 1927. |
