Object history
Deutsch: Die Rodungshaue, auch Reute genannt, ist ein für den Gemeindenamen redendes Symbol und erinnert daran, dass Reut als Rodungssiedlung entstand. Der goldene Hirtenstab verweist als Attribut des heiligen Alban auf das kunsthistorisch bedeutendste Bauwerk in der Gemeinde, die Kirche St. Alban in Taubenbach, die auch als Grundherrschaft von großer Bedeutung war. Zugleich wird damit die 1971 nach Reut eingegliederte Gemeinde Taubenbach repräsentiert. Die bewimpelte Lanze ist das Attribut des heiligen Kastulus und symbolisiert die bekannte Kirche St. Kastulus in Edermanning, gelegen in der früher selbstständigen, 1971 ebenfalls in der Gemeinde Reut aufgegangenen Gemeinde Randling.
