Deutsch: Am 1. Januar 1973 wurden Dangstetten, Kadelburg, Küßnach, Reckingen und Rheinheim zur Gemeinde Küssaberg vereinigt. 1975 kam Bechtersbohl durch Eingemeindung hinzu. Der Gemeindename ist von der Burg Küssaberg übernommen, deren Ruinen auf einem Bergkegel im Gemeindegebiet liegen. Sie war Sitz einer Herrschaft gleichen Namens, zu der alle Ortsteile außer Kadelburg gehörten. Auch das Wappen spielt auf die Burg an. Der Wellenbalken versinnbildlicht die Lage der Gemeinde am Rhein. Das Wappen und die Flagge wurden am 21. April 1975 vom Innenministerium verliehen. Die dabei irrtümlich falsche Tingierung des Berges wurde mit Neuverleihung des Wappens durch das Landratsamt Waldshut vom 19. Oktober 1983 richtiggestellt. |
