Blazon InfoField | Deutsch: Der Gemeinde ist mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten in Köln vom 06.05.1974 das Recht zur Führung eines Wappens verliehen worden. „In Blau ein silbernes (weißes) Schildhaupt, überdeckt durch eine silberne (weiße) Kirche in Frontalansicht mit stumpfem Dach und silbernem (weißem) Balken-Dachreiter mit blauem Dach; die beiden Dachecken besteckt mit je einem silbernen (weißen), das blaue Dach des Dachreiters mit einem blauen Tatzenkreuz. Im offenen Portal in Blau ein goldener (gelber) Schild, darin ein rotbewehrter und -bezungter schwarzer Löwe.“ Das Wappen basiert auf dem Schöffensiegel von Pier (heute Ortsteil von Inden) aus dem Jahre 1381. Es zeigt den Umriss einer Kirche und im Portal in einem kleinem Schild den schwarzen Löwen des Herzogtums Jülich, zu dem Inden früher gehörte. English: „The arms were granted on May 6, 1974. The arms are based on the old seal of Pier, showing the local church and the arms of the Dukes of Jülich, who ruled the area for many centuries. “ |
