Description
Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Heddinghausen seit 1975 Stadtteil von Marsberg: „In Grün ein in Silber (Weiß) und Blau geschachter Schrägbalken; unten ein Bündel goldener (gelber) Getreideähren und oben ein rechtsgerichteter roter Hirschkopf, zwischen dem Geweih ein silbernes (weißes) Kreuz.“ Der Schachbalken stammt aus dem Wappen der Herren von Horhusen, welche zwischen dem 11. und 16. Jahrhundert in der Gegend eine Burg besaßen. Der Hirschkopf mit dem Kreuz steht für den Pfarrpatron St. Hubertus, die Getreideähren für die Landwirtschaft.
English: „Vert, a bend chequy Argent und azure; below a bindle ears Or and above a stags head gules, between the antler a cross Argent.“ The bend chequy is derived from the arms of the Lords of Horhusen, owner of a castle in the area. The stags head with the cross stand for the patron saint Hubertus and the ears symbolise the agriculture.
