Deutsch: Das Wappen wurde am 19. Mai 1949 durch den Innenminister der Landes Nordrhein Westfalen verliehen. Eisern war viele Jahrhunderte durch die Eisenerzgewinnung und -verhüttung geprägt. 1623 wurden die Gruben Michel und Ramberg erstmals genannt. Der Rennofen sowie das Bergmannsgezähe sind Symbole dafür.
English: The arms were granted on May 19, 1949. The bloomery and hammer and pick symbolise the long iron mining and metallurgy tradition in the municipality.
