Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Coat of Arms of Angermund
The arms are devised in 1938. The arms are based on a seal of the city, dating from 1521, but probably older. It shows a bishop (it is unknown who it is, either St. Suitbert, St. Lambertus or bishop Engelbert of Köln) holding in his hand a shield with the lion of the Counts of Berg, who owned the area in the Middle Ages.
