Object history Das Reichsrittergut Allmannshofen war bis zum 17. Jahrhundert im Besitz der Reichsmarschälle von Pappenheim. Daran erinnert das Eisenhutfeh aus dem Stammwappen der Pappenheimer mit vertauschten Farben. Anna Katharina Hildegard von Haslang und Hohenkammer, Äbtissin von 1677 bis 1721 im Benediktinerinnenkloster Holzen, erwarb das Dorf Allmannshofen 1688, das bis zur Säkularisation 1803 im Besitz des Klosters blieb. Der Weiler Holzen liegt südwestlich von Allmannhofen und ist ein Ortsteil dieser Gemeinde. Das Familienwappen der Äbtissin - im Eisenhutschnitt gespalten von Gold und Rot ist im Gemeindewappen enthalten und weist auf das Wirken der bedeutenden Äbtissin hin.
