Summary
[edit]DescriptionDART test train, Howth - geograph.org.uk - 1606089.jpg |
English: DART test train, Howth The electrified DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) opened to passengers in July 1984. By May 1983 work was sufficiently advanced to allow the overhead line to be energised for the running of test trains. A two-car set (8301 and 8101) is awaiting departure from Howth station. The diesel locomotive had hauled it “dead” from Dublin. See also O2539 : DART test train near Sutton. |
