English: Mother of God (18th-century Portuguese School). Depicted in the painting are the likenesses of Mother Paula of Odivelas (as the Virgin Mary), King John V of Portugal (as Saint Joseph), and Infante Joseph of Portugal (as the Baby Jesus).
Português: Madre de Deus (Escola Portuguesa do século XVIII). Representados no quadro estão Madre Paula de Odivelas (no lugar da Virgem Maria), D. João V (no lugar de São José), e o Infante D. José (no lugar do Menino Jesus).
