Description

Der Hotelkomplex basiert auf einem Kubus, aus dem in der Mitte ein Drittel herausgeschnitten wurde. In dem dadurch entstandenen Zwischenraum wurde eine bewegliche Treppenanlage eingebaut, die bei Veranstaltungen hochgefahren werden kann, um als überdachter Zugang zum Foyer zu dienen. Die 65 m hohen Hoteltürme stehen auf eine Landzunge (Hafenspitze an der Speditionsstraße) des Düsseldorfer Medienhafens und gelten seit 2010 als neue Landmarke des Hafens.

The hotel complex is based on a cube. From the center of the cube one third was excised. In the space between the walls, a movable staircase was installed, which can be ramped up at events to serve as a covered access to the foyer. The 65-meter-high hotel towers stand on the headland (Hafenspitze at the Speditionstraße) of the Düsseldorf media harbor and is since 2010 a new landmark of the port.
