Description
English: A drawing by Albrecht Dürer (perhaps Hans von Kulmbach after Dürer) on the themes of love, death, and worldly pleasures. In the center is a fountain, around which are shown many kinds of frivolity, including eating, drinking, music, lovemaking, jousting, card-playing, and more. The group around a table in the center echo another Dürer drawing, Tafelnde Gesellschaft und Tod. The couple to the left of the table are the same pair shown in The Promenade, reversed L-R. A fool gestures toward two couples in the lower-right, while a skeletal Death approaches them from the corner.
