Description
English: D'a Rainha, A harmonious combination of flavors and aromas associated with spices and a flower, bearing 20º alc/vol, Lágrima do Mondego ( D'a Rainha) (meaning teardrop of Mondego, Queen’s teardrop) is a clear, light amber liqueur, with touches of oils from the oranges of which it is made. Its mild flavor is perfect for consuming pure, cold, with ice or as basis for excellent mixtures. The properly selected oranges are macerated in high quality wine alcohol and raised to a mixture of water, sugar, flowers and spices - natural ingredients - which brings the precise touch of elegance to the table where excellence is enjoyed. Lágrima’s manufacture resumes the ancestral methods and recipes from the monasteries of the province, not suffering the addition of chemicals in its composition. This drink looks for a contemporary positioning, focused on the enjoyer who appreciates taste in a "sitting sensuous intelligent mode." Made with flowers and oranges selected with precedence, Lágrima do Mondego – D'a Rainha – derives its name from the fact that, originally, these fruits were cultivated at the banks of River Mondego, around the historical places where Inês de Castro and King D. Pedro lived the most beautiful love story in Portugal’s History.
