Čeština: Cyril Method Pazdera (* 3. března 1896 Vlachova Lhota – 24. listopadu 1942 Věznice Plötzensee, Berlín) byl za první světové války příslušníkem československých legií na Rusi. Po návratu do vlasti se stal plukovníkem prvorepublikové československé armády. Za Protektorátu Čechy a Morava byl deaktivován a záhy se zapojil do domácího protiněmeckého odboje jako velitel ilegální vojenské organizace Obrana národa v jižních Čechách. Po prozrazení v únoru 1940 byl zatčen a odsouzen za velezradu k trestu smrti. Po druhé světové válce byl v roce 1946 in memoriam povýšen do hodnosti brigádního generála a v roce 2019 mu bylo uděleno čestné občanství obce Vlachova Lhota.
English: Cyril Method Pazdera (* 3 March 1896 Vlachova Lhota - 24 November 1942 Plötzensee Prison, Berlin) was a member of the Czechoslovak legions in Russia during the First World War. After his return to his homeland he became a colonel in the First Republic Czechoslovak Army. He was deactivated during the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and soon joined the domestic anti-German resistance as a commander of the illegal military organisation Defence of the Nation in southern Bohemia. After being exposed in February 1940, he was arrested and sentenced to death for treason. After World War II, he was promoted in 1946 in memoriam to the rank of Brigadier General and in 2019 he was awarded honorary citizenship of the village of Vlachova Lhota.
