| Description |
I'm very chuffed with this - it came from the bargain bench at a local garden centre last summer. They'd finished flowering so they were selling them off for £10, which sounds pricey until you realise how much they would normally cost. I had no idea what the flowers would be like but frankly, there aren't really any bad ones. The only issue was whether it would come up again this spring (Cypripedium have a reputation for being rather demanding). So obviously I'm very excited. There's two more unflowered shoots beside the flowering stem too... Yay! I don't know if it's one of the named hybrids. There's definitely some C.reginae in there I'd have thought. The closest I can find of the well-known named hybrids is 'Ulla Silkens', which is flavum x reginae. |
