English: Large Cycladic neck amphora. Body : the return of Apollo to Delos from the land of the Hyperboreans. Standing in a chariot drawn by winged horses are Apollo and his kithara and two female figures, probably the Hyperborean maidens. Apollo is welcomed by his sister Artemis, who is holding a deer. Neck: two heroes, probably Achilles and Memnon, engaged in homeric combat. Work of a Parian workshop. Around 640 B.C. H. 98 cm. National Archaeological Museum in Athens. 911 Français : Grande amphore à col cycladique. Corps : le retour d'Apollon à Délos du pays des Hyperboréens. Debout dans un char tiré par des chevaux ailés se trouvent Apollon et sa cithare et deux figures féminines, probablement les jeunes filles hyperboréennes. Apollo est accueilli par sa soeur Artemis, qui tient un cerf. Cou : deux héros, probablement Achille et Memnon, engagés dans un combat homérique. Travail d'un atelier Parian. Vers 640 AEC. H. 98 cm.
