Era hermano del pintor Valentín Carderera, y también licenciado en Sagrada Teología, Arcipreste del Pilar, que es una dignidad de la Santa Iglesia Metropolitana de Zaragoza, comendador de la Orden de Carlos III, capellán de honor de Su Majestad, conjuez honorario del Supremo Tribunal, comisario de la obra pía de los Santos Lugares de Jerusalén en la Archidiócesis de Zaragoza y académico consiliario de la Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Luis de Zaragoza. Murió el día 7 de septiembre de 1871.
