Description
Deutsch: Eine Ecke des quadratischen Säulenhofes im kleineren Peribolos des Gymnasions (Paus. VI, 21, 2); von Südwesten aufgenommen. Die in situ befindlichen quadratischen Säulenbasen, welche den Hof rings umgeben, sind durch (zum Theil nicht zugehörige) Schäfte markirt. Vor denselben zieht sich eine Wasserrinne hin. Im Vordergrund Reste der Pflasterung in Reihen von gerieselten Thonplatten. Ausserdem sind hier zwei Steinplattengrüber späterer Zeit un die in derselebn Epoche hier verbaute Philostratosbasis (Arch. Ztg. 1878 S. 102 No. 174) stehen geblieben, welche am Rande links noch zur Hälfte sichtbar sind. Die Ecksäule und die NO.-Ecke der Umfassungsmauer sind durch Menschen bezeichnet; ebenso die Quermauern und Eingänge der den Säulenhof umgebenden Gemächer; endlich innerhalb derselben die Stellen des für die Palästriten bestimmten Badebassins und eine Kalksteinbasis. Im Hintergrunde der Fuss des Kronoshügels.
